Ingrédients :

800 g (1 ¾ lb) potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks

185 g (6 oz) bacon bits

1 onion, diced

1 clove of garlic, minced

125 ml (1/2 cup) of white wine

Salt and pepper

1 ml (1/4 tsp) ground nutmeg

1 or 2 reblochon wheels

Ingrédients :

800 g (1 ¾ lb) potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks

185 g (6 oz) bacon bits

1 onion, diced

1 clove of garlic, minced

125 ml (1/2 cup) of white wine

Salt and pepper

1 ml (1/4 tsp) ground nutmeg

1 or 2 reblochon wheels

Préparation :

Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water. Drain and let cool.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large skillet, brown the onions, then deglaze with the white wine once they are golden.

Add the bacon and garlic.

Add the potatoes.

Pepper and lightly salt; Reblochon is quite salty.

Spread the mixture in a 30 x 20 cm backing dish.

Drizzle the cream over the potatoes. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Using a knife, scrape the rind of the cheese to thin it slightly.

Cut the wheel in half horizontally. Place the two pieces of cheese side by side on the potatoes, crust side up

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

Serve hot, accompanied by a green salad.
