So to warm you up, this month we suggest you prepare a tartiflette, a mythical dish to share with your friends, your family to eat without limit !

In addition, this month we offer you a day trip to Chamrousse, the ski resort. This station located a few kilometers from the city of Grenoble is the perfect solution to eliminate the excess calories from the tartiflette eaten the day before; but it is above all the ideal to have have fun, to do all kinds of activities that would tempt you such as cross-country skiing, downill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding and above all to overlook the city from more than 2250 meters above sea level with a breathtaking panorama.

November is in full swing, the cold has set in for a few weeks, and preparations for the enf of the year are already starting to take shape. This month we invite you to take a breath, for a day in the great outdoors, in the forest in Chalais above the town of Voreppe, a small town near Grenoble. The Chalais walk is accessible from Grenoble by car. You can park in the car park of the Chalais monastery located a few minutes from Voreppe on foot, to the right of the river, and join the hiking trail. Have fun!

That’s it! Summer is over, the cold is fast approaching in this month of October, accompanied by the legendary Halloween party.

This month, we invite you to scare yourself, for an afternoon in the heart of the Vats cave in Sassenage. The cave of the vats, also known as the Sassenage cave, is accessible by taking the bus 64 from the Grenoble bus station. You can reach the Vats cave and discover a magnificent panorama of the surroundings of the city of Grenoble before descending into the heart of the cave and discovering all these secrets and these decorations planned for the month of Halloween.

That’s it, the return to school has started well and well in this month of September and with it still some beautiful days in the forecast.

This month we invite you to escape with your head in the clouds for an afternoon at the Bastille in Grenoble. You can take the “bubbles of Grenoble” to reach the fort of the Bastille and have a breathtaking view of the entire city. You will find many activities on site, such as hikes, an acrobatic course, a visit to the fortified areas, a visit to the “Troupes de Montagne” museum, or even spend a moment at the legendary restaurant “Le Pèr’ Gras”, which is a panoramic and gastronomic restaurant.

That’s it, summer is well installed and its long and hot days are just starting! This month, we suggest you escape for an afternoon at the “Bois Français” lake to discover the joys of sliding on water, and for a nice lunch out on your terrace, a good recipe of stuffed tomatoes. Enjoy !

June is here! And along with the sun this year, the re-opening of terraces, concerts and other outside festivities !

One of the most emblematic events of this period is the “Fête de la musique” night, traditionally celebrated on June the 21st, for the arrival of summer. If the sanitary conditions allow it, the city streets should awaken this year again, with music and good mood everywhere!

The sunny month of May has come and the daffodils have bloomed ! We suggest you a pastoral excursion, worthy of the purebred Grenoble inhabitants: a small hike to the “Charmant Som” to hunt daffodils. As a recipe, we suggest you Wisteria fritters, to keep going in a floral theme.

Spring has arrived but, unfortunately, is limited to a perimeter of 10 km … Let’s see the bright side, this is an opportunity to rediscover places around us and to take the time for manual activities at home. We take you to Paul Mistral Park, in the heart of Grenoble, for a “multi-sports” afternoon where it is easy to meet people ! As a recipe, what about a chocolate mousse to nod to Easter where we eat chocolate bells, bunnies and chickens ?

That’s it, March is here, the days are getting longer and warmer, the birds are starting to sing and the first daffodils have bloomed. To take full advantage of these sunny moments, we suggest you this month a little bike tour in the Grésivaudan valley and as a recipe for a carrot cake, a little more international this time but which will be a perfect ending for your first barbecues!

This month, we bring you some warmth at home telling you all about the history and tradition of the Chandeleur, celebrated every year in France on February 2nd. You will of course find the recipe to make the crepes and have sweet and warm evenings!

Happy New Year! To start 2021 nicely and positively we suggest, if you haven’t already done it yet, and if you have good coats and warm shoes, to go walking up to the Bastille. If the weather is good, you will be able to admire not only Grenoble from above, but also its surrounding mountains… And with a bit of luck and good weather, you might even see the Mont Blanc! And this month for a quick and easy cooking idea, a vegetarian recipe for leek quiche. Wishing you all the best!

No more doubt, winter is here. The Christmas lights are on and we dig out the big coats from our closets. No hot wine in the evenings at the Christmas market to warm up this year, so we might as well take advantage of the beautiful snowy daytime. So we suggest you a nice racket hike in Chartreuse, and of course the traditional Tartiflette to warm up when coming home. In French we say : “After the effort, comfort!”
